Machu Picchu - Rainbow Mountain and Humantay Lake Tour 6 Days

Upon your arrival at Cusco airport, our Machupicchu Latin America representative will pick you up from the airport and transferred to your hotel in our private transport. While we enjoy the short ride to your hotel, we will have the chance to brief you and check any details regarding the following day activities answering any questions you may still have about the program. After check in at the hotel the balance of the day is all yours at leisure.

Overnight: Cusco

After breakfast at your hotel, our Machupicchu Latin America guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby between 7:00am to 7:30am and drive you in our private transport from Cusco passing through Sacsayhuaman & Puca Pucara Inca sites, our first stop will be at Manos de la Comunidad rescue center (we can observe Alpacas, Llamas & Vicuñas) and then continue descending to Taray lookout and stop a few minutes for one of the best classic pictures of the Sacred Valley and then we will drive up to Pisac Inca site to have stunning views over the valley. Here you can appreciate temples, residences, altars, channels and learn about the Incan agricultural methods shared by our Machupicchu Latin America expert guides. Then we will stop at the village of Pisac to visit its traditional market to interact with the local people and purchase some local souvenirs. After this beautiful visit, we will drive you to Urubamba town to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch (not included). After lunch, we continue our journey to Ollantaytambo to visit this amazing Inca site, which is an important area with Inca constructions, built during the Incan times. This is an extraordinary Inca citadel where we will find an amazing rock formation representing the Inca god Wiracocha. Finally, we will take you to the train station located in the same town of Ollantaytambo and board the train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu pueblo). This train journey allows you to appreciate the fascinating scenery along the sacred Vilcanota River. Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes train station, you will be welcomed by our hotel staff and Machupicchu Latin America representative who will walk you to the hotel. After check in at the hotel, the balance of the day is all yours at leisure.

Overnight: Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu pueblo)

After breakfast at your hotel, our Machupicchu Latin America guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby between 6:30am to 7:00am and walk you to the bus station to board the bus and take a 30 minutes ride up to the main entrance gate of Machupicchu to begin a unique experience by exploring one of the New Seven Wonders of the World accompanied with a professional tour guide who will share with you all his knowledge about the history, traditions and more that surrounds this mysterious and enigmatic Inca citadel of Machupicchu. After we are done with the visit, board the bus down to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and enjoy some extra time at the town to get some local souvenirs and then board the train back to Ollantaytambo train station where our representative will be waiting for you and transferred in our private transport back to your Cusco hotel.

Overnight: Cusco

Today early in the morning our Machupicchu Latin America guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby between 4:30 to 5:00am and then board our comfortable transport to start your adventure hike to Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain. Then will drive you for about 1.5 hours and stop for breakfast at the restaurant located at Cusipata village. After breakfast we will continue our journey and drive you for another 1 hour until the reach the start point of our hike at the front door to rainbow mountain (Fulawasipata). Here we will prepare our back packs and start to walk at the foot of the Ausangate Mountain range and gradually ascent reaching the highest point of the Rainbow Mountain after 1.45 minutes. Along the way we will observe the beautiful Andean landscape and colorful Mountain scenery. After some rest and enjoyed the amazing Rainbow Mountain views, we will walk down for about 1 hour and return to the start point (Parking area) and board our transport back to Cusipata village for Lunch. Finally, we will drive you back for an extra 1.5 hours to your hotel in Cusco arriving around 16:00 pm.

Today early in the morning our Machupicchu Latin America guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby between 4:00 to 4:30am from your hotel lobby and then board our comfortable transport and drive you to Mallepata village for a quick breakfast, then we will drive you for an extra hour to Soraypampa village located at the base of the trail where you can enjoy the enjoy the breathtaking views of Salkantay and Humantay mountains as well. Along the way we will enjoy its amazing landscapes, after 1.5 to 2 hours hike, we will reach the amazing Humantay lake located over 4200masl. Once here we will have enough time enjoys its breathtaking views of the mountains, vegetation, native wildlife and of course the stunning Humantay Lake a turquoise color. After enjoying the impressive sights, we will walk down for approximately 1.5 hours to Soraypampa village and board our transport to Mollapata village for Lunch and finally drive you for about 2 hours back to Cusco. We will reach Cusco around 17:00 pm.

After breakfast at your hotel, we will drop off you back to the airport according your flight itinerary.
