Best of Peru - Cusco Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca with Home Stay 6 Days

Upon your arrival at Cusco airport, our Machupicchu Latin America representative will pick you up from the airport and transferred to your hotel in our private transport. While we enjoy the short ride to your hotel, we will have the chance to brief you and check any details regarding the following day activities answering any questions you may still have about the program. After check in at the hotel the balance of the day is all yours at leisure.

Overnight: Cusco

After breakfast at your hotel, our Machupicchu Latin America guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby between 7:00am to 7:30am and drive you in our private transport from Cusco passing through Sacsayhuaman & Puca Pucara Inca sites, our first stop will be at Manos de la Comunidad rescue center (we can observe Alpacas, Llamas & Vicuñas) and then continue descending to Taray lookout and stop a few minutes for one of the best classic pictures of the Sacred Valley and then we will drive up to Pisac Inca site to have stunning views over the valley. Here you can appreciate temples, residences, altars, channels and learn about the Incan agricultural methods shared by our Machupicchu Latin America expert guides. Then we will stop at the village of Pisac to visit its traditional market to interact with the local people and purchase some local souvenirs. After this beautiful visit, we will drive you to Urubamba town to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch (not included). After lunch, we continue our journey to Ollantaytambo to visit this amazing Inca site, which is an important area with Inca constructions, built during the Incan times. This is an extraordinary Inca citadel where we will find an amazing rock formation representing the Inca god Wiracocha. Finally, we will take you to the train station located in the same town of Ollantaytambo and board the train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu pueblo). This train journey allows you to appreciate the fascinating scenery along the sacred Vilcanota River. Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes train station, you will be welcomed by our hotel staff and Machupicchu Latin America representative who will walk you to the hotel. After check in at the hotel, the balance of the day is all yours at leisure.

Overnight: Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu pueblo)

After breakfast at your hotel, our Machupicchu Latin America guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby between 6:30am to 7:00am and walk you to the bus station to board the bus and take a 30 minutes ride up to the main entrance gate of Machupicchu to begin a unique experience by exploring one of the New Seven Wonders of the World accompanied with a professional tour guide who will share with you all his knowledge about the history, traditions and more that surrounds this mysterious and enigmatic Inca citadel of Machupicchu. After we are done with the visit, board the bus down to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and enjoy some extra time at the town to get some local souvenirs and then board the train back to Ollantaytambo train station where our representative will be waiting for you and transferred in our private transport back to your Cusco hotel.

Overnight: Cusco

After breakfast at your hotel, our Machupicchu Latin America representative will pick you up from your hotel lobby at 6:20am am and drop off you to the bus station for our next destination in Puno. Experience a different way to travel by bus with including a tour guide, drinks and snacks on board. En route visit Andahuaylillas “The Sistine Chapel”, Raqchi - the Wiracocha Temple, Sicuani (stop for lunch), La Raya (the border between Cusco and Puno) and our last stop “Pucara” an interesting lytic museum before we arrive in Puno around 17:00 pm. On your arrival to Puno bus station our Machupicchu Latin America representative will we waiting for you and transferred to your hotel.

Overnight: Puno

After breakfast at your hotel, our Machupicchu Latin America representative will pick you up from your hotel lobby between 7:00 to 7:15 am and drop off you to the Titicaca Lake harbor to board the motorboat and set off to explore the highest navigable lake in the world. We will sail for about 30 minutes to our first stop, the fascinating Uros floating island made of reeds and learn about the local lifestyle and interact with the locals who are still living on this floating Islands. Then we will continue sailing towards Amantani Island to meet your host family and participate in the activities they programmed for you including dinner and overnight in their houses (private room with all basic amenities) at Amantani Island.

Overnight: Amantani Island in Puno

After a traditional homemade breakfast with your host family, you will be part of the local activities they still practice and explore the Island. Then we will continue sailing towards Taquile Island and visit the famous weavers to appreciate the beautiful handmade works so you can purchase these great souvenirs. After an incredible time, we will enjoy a delicious and traditional lunch with the host family. Later, we will return back to the Puno city ending this amazing tour around 15:00pm. Finally, our representative will pick you up from the harbor and drop off you to Juliaca (JUL) airport located only one hour drive away from Puno city and take your flight to Lima.

Optional: Add an extra night in Puno so you can depart the following day to your next destination like Arequipa, La Paz or Lima.
