Explore the Best of Lima - Cusco - Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca 9 Days

Upon your arrival at Lima airport, our Machupicchu Latin America representative will pick you up from the airport and transferred to your hotel in our private transport. While we enjoy the short ride to your hotel, we will have the chance to provide additional information about things to do in Lima. After check in at the hotel the balance of the day is all yours at leisure.

Overnight: Lima

After breakfast at your hotel, our Machupicchu Latin America guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby at 9:00am or 2:00pm (you can take the AM or PM tour). We will begin our tour visiting the modern suburbs of San Isidro and Miraflores where we will see the Financial Center, the San Isidro Golf Course and the Olive Grove Park. We will also go by the Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca pyramid shape temple that has survived the expansion of modern civilization. We will stop at Parque del Amor (Love Park) and enjoy a nice view of the Pacific Ocean, as we drive down the Miraflores Malecon, a road along the cliffs overlooking the ocean. Colonial Lima We will visit downtown Lima`s historical center, designated by Unesco as Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 1991. In this journey we will enjoy what once was the center of the 16th century Spanish colony. We will see the Plaza Mayor, the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop`s Palace, the City Hall and the Desamparados Train Station. We will also see Plaza San Martin, a large park surrounded by old colonial buildings still displaying beautiful carved wood balconies and other landmarks. San Francisco Monastery and Catacombs We shall visit the San Francisco Monastery and its famous underground crypts known as the Catacombs. At the end of the tour, you will have a choice to either shop at the Indian Market, Larcomar Mall or return to your hotel.

Overnight: Lima

After breakfast at your hotel, our representative will pick you up from the hotel lobby according your flight itinerary and drop off you to Lima airport to board your flight to Cusco which is your next destination.

Upon your arrival at Cusco airport, our Machupicchu Latin America representative will pick you up from the airport and transferred to your hotel in our private transport. While we enjoy the short ride to your hotel, we will have the chance to brief you and check any details regarding the following day activities answering any questions you may still have about the program. After check in at the hotel the balance of the day is all yours at leisure.

Overnight: Cusco

After breakfast, our Machupicchu Latin America expert guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby and drive you in our private transport from Cusco passing through or explore Chinchero (if you haven`t visited before) and visit the Tupac Inca Yupanqui Royal House where their original Inca walls are still well preserved and have a chance to meet the Chinchero women in their traditional dressing in a weaving or textile center. And then continue our drive to the village of Maras where is located the famous archaeological site of Moray (unique terraces in a circle shape) which contains an important agricultural system. Moray, during the Incan times, was possibly one of the most important agricultural research centers, where experiments were conducted at different heights crop, the arrangement of its platforms produces a variety of micro-climates taking the center of the concentric circular terraces higher temperature and decreasing gradually outward lower temperatures. After this important visit, we will drive to our next stop and visit the famous Salineras or Salt mines. The salt is extracted in artisanal form, the Salt Mines are made up of about 3000 small wells that have been exploited since the Inca times and it was an economic exchange way. After we explore these amazing places, we will drive you back to your Cusco hotel arriving around 13:00 pm.

Overnight: Cusco

After breakfast at your hotel, our Machupicchu Latin America guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby between 7:00am to 7:30am and drive you in our private transport from Cusco passing through Sacsayhuaman & Puca Pucara Inca sites, our first stop will be at Manos de la Comunidad rescue center (we can observe Alpacas, Llamas & Vicuñas) and then continue descending to Taray lookout and stop a few minutes for one of the best classic pictures of the Sacred Valley and then we will drive up to Pisac Inca site to have stunning views over the valley. Here you can appreciate temples, residences, altars, channels and learn about the Incan agricultural methods shared by our Machupicchu Latin America expert guides. Then we will stop at the village of Pisac to visit its traditional market to interact with the local people and purchase some local souvenirs. After this beautiful visit, we will drive you to Urubamba town to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch (not included). After lunch, we continue our journey to Ollantaytambo to visit this amazing Inca site, which is an important area with Inca constructions, built during the Incan times. This is an extraordinary Inca citadel where we will find an amazing rock formation representing the Inca god Wiracocha. Finally, we will take you to the train station located in the same town of Ollantaytambo and board the train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu pueblo). This train journey allows you to appreciate the fascinating scenery along the sacred Vilcanota River. Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes train station, you will be welcomed by our hotel staff and Machupicchu Latin America representative who will walk you to the hotel. After check in at the hotel, the balance of the day is all yours at leisure.

Overnight: Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu pueblo)

After breakfast at your hotel, our Machupicchu Latin America guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby between 6:30am to 7:00am and walk you to the bus station to board the bus and take a 30 minutes ride up to the main entrance gate of Machupicchu to begin a unique experience by exploring one of the New Seven Wonders of the World accompanied with a professional tour guide who will share with you all his knowledge about the history, traditions and more that surrounds this mysterious and enigmatic Inca citadel of Machupicchu. After we are done with the visit, board the bus down to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and enjoy some extra time at the town to get some local souvenirs and then board the train back to Ollantaytambo train station where our representative will be waiting for you and transferred in our private transport back to your Cusco hotel.

Overnight: Cusco

After breakfast at your hotel, our Machupicchu Latin America representative will pick you up from your hotel lobby at 6:20am am and drop off you to the bus station for our next destination in Puno. Experience a different way to travel by bus with including a tour guide, drinks and snacks on board. En route visit Andahuaylillas “The Sistine Chapel”, Raqchi - the Wiracocha Temple, Sicuani (stop for lunch), La Raya (the border between Cusco and Puno) and our last stop “Pucara” an interesting lytic museum before we arrive in Puno around 17:00 pm. On your arrival to Puno bus station our Machupicchu Latin America representative will we waiting for you and transferred to your hotel.

Overnight: Puno

After breakfast at your hotel, our Machupicchu Latin America representative will pick you up from your hotel lobby between 7:00 to 7:15 am and drop off you to the Lake Titicaca harbor to board the motorboat and set off to explore the highest navigable lake in the world. We will sail for about 30 minutes to our first stop, the fascinating Uros floating island made of reeds and learn about the local lifestyle and interact with the locals who are still living on this floating Islands. Then we will continue sailing towards Taquile Island and visit the famous weavers to appreciate the beautiful handmade works so you can purchase these great souvenirs. After an incredible time, we will enjoy a delicious and traditional lunch with the host family. Later, we will return back to the Puno city ending this amazing tour around 16:00pm. Finally, our representative will pick you up from the harbor and drive you back to your hotel and the balance of the day will be all yours at leisure.

Overnight: Puno

After breakfast at your hotel, we will pick up from the hotel lobby drop off you to Juliaca (JUL) airport located only one hour drive away from Puno city and take your flight to Lima.
