Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
2 days / 1 night
Read moreDiscover the historical reasons and modern conservation efforts that keep Machu Picchu as one of the best-preserved archaeological wonders in the world.
Why is the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu preserved?
The aim is to maintain the state of conservation of the cultural attractions, the natural attractions and the network of Inka roads, trails that make it up and the ecosystem surrounding the trail, minimizing the effects of human traffic.
Maintaining the ecosystems, biodiversity and archaeological and cultural heritage, such as: three ecoregions, Puna of the central Andes, Peruvian Yungas and dry forests of the center or so-called inter-Andean valleys. Maintaining the high diversity of flora and fauna, where you can see representative species of these ecosystems such as the Andean Condor (Vultur gryphus), Andean Bear (Tremarctos ornatus), Cock-of-the-Rock (Rupicola peruviana), River Otter (Lontra longicaudis) the latter on Route 4 and the Torrent Duck.

We had the best experience on this 2 day journey. Machu Picchu has been on my bucket-list to visit for some time and it far exceeded all of my expectations. Luis Hermoza, our guide, was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable and provided great information all along the journey. Truly, he is one of a kind when it comes to finding a great guide...highly recommend him!!

We took the classic city tour in the afternoon and it was a highly recommended experience. It is a short walk and ideal for enjoying to the fullest without the need to walk too much or worry about driving. The driver, Luis, and the guide, Efraín, were excellent professionals. Efraín demonstrated a deep knowledge of local history, making the tour extremely interesting. A perfect option to get to know the city in a relaxed way!

Beautiful mountain and a perfect day to explore it. The hike has its difficulty, but there are many facilities: I took a horse, and when going through Pitumarca there are also motorcycle options for those who do not wish to walk as much. The views are spectacular and the guide Alexis was very attentive and helpful. A highly recommended experience that is worth it!

I did this tour to Humantay Lake solo while my family stayed in Cusco, and it was an incredible experience! The landscapes are simply beautiful and the hike is totally worth it. I want to highlight the guide Alexis, who was very professional, kind, and attentive to the group at all times. Also a special thanks to the driver Hugo, as he drove with a lot of patience, care, and safety on the route, which provides a lot of peace of mind.

We just finished our 2day Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu tour with Machupicchu Latin America, and it was the perfect experience for our family. Thanks to Fredi for coordinating everything via WhatsApp. Our early pickup at the Novotel Cusco to the beautiful Vistadome train ride and our relaxing stay at Casa del Sol.

A very well organised tour with an excellent guide. I would recommend booking this Machu Picchu tour, as with all popular tourist attractions it can feel daunting trying to organise transport and passes, Fredi and the team book a complete package with support at every stage.

We loved the 6-day "Best of Peru" tour! Highlights were learning about Inca culture, the train to Machu Picchu, visiting an alpaca farm, and taking a dip in Lake Titicaca. The tour was well organized, and the guides were knowledgeable and attentive.

We planned this trip a year ago and booked the sacred valley, Machu Picchu and rainbow mountain itinerary. Although there`s a misalignment for Machu Picchu ticket (plan for circuit2 but at the end they booked circuit1 and offer extra circuit3)
