  • 7:00 am - 7:30 am: Pick up from your hotel. Departure to the Sacred Valley by private bus.
  • 7:45 am - 8:30 am: Sacsayhuaman Viewpoint - Brief stop to photograph this impressive Inca fortress.
  • 8:45 am - 9:45 am: "Manos de la Comunidad" Center - Interaction with llamas and alpacas. Learn about traditional weaving techniques.
  • 10:00 am - 11:30 am: Pisac Archaeological Site - Guided tour through agricultural terraces, cemeteries, and Inca temples.
  • 11:30 am - 12:30 pm: Pisac artisan market - Free time to buy local crafts and textiles.

  • 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm: Train to Aguas Calientes - 1.5-hour scenic journey along the Vilcanota River. Enjoy views of snow-capped mountains.
  • 7:00 pm: Arrival in Aguas Calientes - Transfer to your hotel. Free dinner (recommendations available).

Guided Tour in Machu Picchu - Return to Cusco
  • 5:30 am - 6:00 am: Breakfast at the hotel.
  • 6:10 am - 6:30 am: Bus up to Machu Picchu - 25-minute journey along the Hiram Bingham highway with spectacular views.
  • 7:00 am - 10:00 am: Guided tour of the Machu Picchu citadel (2.5 hours). Complete tour including: Temple of the Sun, Intihuatana (solar clock), Temple of the Three Windows, agricultural and urban sector, and the Inca House. Your guide will explain the history, architecture, and spiritual significance.
  • 10:00 am - 11:30 am: Free time to explore on your own, take photos, or climb to the Guardian's House (classic view).
  • 11:30 am - 12:30 pm: Optional: If booked in advance, climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (requires additional ticket, US$ 65).
  • 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm: Bus back to Aguas Calientes.

  • 7:30 am - 8:30 am: Shared boat navigation to the Uros Islands (30 minutes).
  • 8:30 am - 9:30 am: Visit to the Uros Floating Islands - Explanation of how they build the islands with totora reeds. Demonstration of weavings and possibility of sailing in traditional rafts (optional).
  • 9:30 am - 11:30 am: Navigation to Taquile Island (approximately 2 hours). Enjoy the landscape of the highest navigable lake in the world (3,812 m).

How do you get from Machu Picchu to Lake Titicaca?

To travel from Machu Picchu to Lake Titicaca, you must first return to Cusco. From Cusco, the easiest way is to take a scenic tourist bus or train to Puno, the city on the shores of Lake Titicaca. The journey takes around 6 to 10 hours depending on the mode of transport, with stops at various cultural and historical sites along the way if you choose a bus tour.
